Paul Rennick
System Design Coordinator
About Paul
Paul developed an early love for both music and production, playing bass guitar as a teenager and working on weekends for music production companies. He went to school at the Ontario Institute of Recording Technology and graduated in Audio Recording Engineering. He is also a Digital Media Certified Designer (DMC-D) and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
Paul spent three wayward years travelling throughout North America, playing guitar with the band Lucerin Blue. He has fond memories of his days on the road, playing gigs, signing record and management deals and doing all the things musicians dream of.
Back in Ontario, Paul sharpened his professional focus on sound and media production while working at TOA Canada Corp and, later, Sharp’s Audio Visual. He worked for years as a part of team of media design engineers and his expertise grew to include video and control systems as well as audio.
He moved back to Hamilton with his family in 2010 and joined the crew at MacLean Media Systems as the Systems Design Coordinator. He brings insightful troubleshooting and valuable collaborative skills to the table. He finds working on large-scale venues and educational facilities very gratifying, and always looks confidently to the digital age for sophisticated, yet beautifully simple solutions.
